Note: Hydrogen in steel causes HIC (hydrogen-induced cracking), HICC, and delayed cracking. BCC structures (ferrite, martensite) allow fast H diffusion but have low solubility. FCC (austenite) has high solubility but slow diffusion. Martensite is most susceptible to H cracking.
